The staff was just lekker—helped me get my room early and sorted an adaptor for my plugs quickly. Plus, the bathroom in my room was updated nicely, which was a pleasant surprise.

I had a pleasant stay with clean rooms and a great breakfast buffet featuring Swiss cheeses. The free Basel card was also a plus for exploring the city. the air conditioning was tricky to use and didn't cool well during the hot night.

The Economy Queen Double room was clean and had a decent bathroom, but it felt a bit cramped. Some other rooms might be better since I heard about larger spaces nearby. The air conditioning didn’t work well, and the noise from the trams was pretty noticeable, so be wary if you’re a light sleeper. The updated facilities were a plus, but overall, I expected a bit more for the price.
